A writing style changes how cleaned dictation reads. It sits on top of AI cleanup: the cleanup prompt decides what gets corrected, and the style decides the register of whatever survives. Pick one on the AI cleanup page under Writing style.

Built-in styles

Every built-in style preserves your meaning, facts, and point of view, and keeps the length close to what you said. Concise is allowed to shorten, but it still never drops a detail. The AI cleanup page shows a live example for each style. You see the raw sentence (“we should meet tomorrow at ten, actually no, eleven, and go over the budget”) and how it comes out with the selected style.

Creating your own

The built-ins are fixed, but you can save any number of your own beside them. On the AI cleanup page, scroll to the Writing style section and choose New style.

Name it

For example, “Calm and clean”.

Write the instructions

Describe how the wording should change. For example: “keep it casual and lowercase, and turn spoken emoji names into emoji.”
Both fields are required. Your new style is selected as soon as you save it, and it appears under Yours in the style list from then on. Click Edit to change or delete it later. Built-in styles have no edit button because they are not stored.
Your style never replaces the cleanup prompt. Both are sent to the model together. The cleanup prompt decides what gets fixed. The style decides the register of the result. They are independent.
